The script of "Smilla's Sense Of Snow" is based on the novel of the same name by Danish author Peter Hoeg. Released in 1992, this groundbreaking thriller became a runaway bestseller and was named Book of the Year by Time Magazine. When her six-year old neighbor falls from a snow-covered roof, Smilla (Julia Ormond) suspects the boy's death was no accident.
